What to watch on TV tonight: Wednesday

Here are the shows that will be on your Twitter timeline this evening.

DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Road to Rio (RTÉ Two, 8.30pm)

A new documentary series profiling Irish athletes as they prepare to go to Rio for this year’s Olympic Games. Among those profiled will be boxer Michael Conlan and swimmer Fiona Doyle. Get excited, everyone.

Young, Dumb and Dangerous (RTÉ Two, 9.55pm)

A new series about youth crime in Ireland, particularly one-punch assaults, and how such crimes can be prevented and dealt with. Ought to be eye-opening.

Cunk on Shakespeare (BBC Two, 10pm)

The one and only Philomena Cunk from Charlie Brooker’s Weekly Wipe will celebrate the playwright in true Philomena Cunk fashion. We can’t bloody wait.

Everyone’s talking about… Eurovision

With Nicky Byrne busy representing Ireland at this weekend’s Eurovision, a spot has opened up for a new Official Irish Eurovision Results Reader. You know, the person who’s like, “Hello from Dublin!” and reads out the points awarded to each country.

So who will replace Nicky in the role this year? RTÉ has confirmed to DailyEdge.ie that Winning Streak presenter Sinead Kennedy will be doing the honours this year.

Good luck, Sinead!
